{"id":113,"date":"2009-07-26T18:54:15","date_gmt":"2009-07-26T23:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/?p=113"},"modified":"2009-07-26T18:54:15","modified_gmt":"2009-07-26T23:54:15","slug":"19th-stop-carlsbad-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/19th-stop-carlsbad-california\/","title":{"rendered":"19th stop &#8211; Carlsbad, California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We arrived in Carlsbad today after a few minor stops here and there.<\/p>\n<p>First, we ended up driving through Compton.\u00a0 Wow!<br \/>\nI am so glad that we took that left instead of\u00a0 a right.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-114\" title=\"blog_compton\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/blog_compton.JPG\" alt=\"blog_compton\" width=\"150\" height=\"113\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We drove through Huntington which was hosting the world surfing championships.<br \/>\nThat was very cool indeed.<br \/>\nLots of big waves and lots of people cutting them up.<\/p>\n<p>We arrived in Carlsbad, CA and are having a good time.<br \/>\nThe hotel is on the beach and it is only a 100 foot hike down to the beach.<br \/>\nGetting back up is a bit of work though.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow we are off to Lego Land.<br \/>\nWe also plan to see the San Diego Zoo and Wildlife Park this week.<\/p>\n<p>Adios,<br \/>\nA-Team!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We arrived in Carlsbad today after a few minor stops here and there.
