{"id":140,"date":"2009-07-31T23:32:44","date_gmt":"2009-08-01T04:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/?p=140"},"modified":"2009-07-31T23:32:44","modified_gmt":"2009-08-01T04:32:44","slug":"23rd-stop-tombstone-arizona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/23rd-stop-tombstone-arizona\/","title":{"rendered":"23rd stop &#8211; Tombstone, Arizona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We made it from Carlsbad, California to Tombstone.<br \/>\nThe drive was hot and dry with a touch of boring.<\/p>\n<p>We stayed at the Lookout Best Western hotel.<br \/>\nThe boys were pumped because our bathroom door was a double-door swinging bar door.<br \/>\nThey thought we were really staying in a Wild West gun-fighter motel!<\/p>\n<p>After checking in at the Lookout-mahal, we drove downtown to the famous <a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gunfight_at_the_O.K._Corral\">OK Corral<\/a> area.<br \/>\nWe saw the spot where the Earps and Doc Holliday fought Ike and Billy Clanton.<br \/>\nWe were at the actual spot where they say Doc Holliday stood during the gunfight.<br \/>\nIt was a pretty cool place with some serious history.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-141\" title=\"blog_tombstone1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/blog_tombstone1.JPG\" alt=\"blog_tombstone1\" width=\"150\" height=\"113\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Below &#8211; we actually were able to walk down the main Tombstone street!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142\" title=\"blog_tombstone2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/blog_tombstone2.JPG\" alt=\"blog_tombstone2\" width=\"150\" height=\"113\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We had supper at the Longhorn!<br \/>\nIt is located inside of Big-Nose Kate&#8217;s Saloon!<br \/>\nThe boys wanted beers, but we said no.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-143\" title=\"blog_tombstone3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/blog_tombstone3.JPG\" alt=\"blog_tombstone3\" width=\"150\" height=\"113\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, we head to El Paso on the way to Carlsbad Caverns!<\/p>\n<p>Adios,<br \/>\nThe A-Team!<\/p>\n<p>P.S.\u00a0 What state did the Earps move from when arriving in Tombstone?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We made it from Carlsbad, California to Tombstone.
