{"id":165,"date":"2011-06-12T22:16:26","date_gmt":"2011-06-13T03:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/?p=165"},"modified":"2011-06-20T00:52:31","modified_gmt":"2011-06-20T05:52:31","slug":"going-to-wichita","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/going-to-wichita\/","title":{"rendered":"Going to Wichita . . ."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>7 Nation Army Couldn&#8217;t Hold Me Back\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Cool White Stripes Song<\/p>\n<p>Sammy &#8211; We are hanging at the most awesome-est HomeWood Suites ever!<br \/>\nSammy &#8211; It has a basketball court, putting green, running\/biking\u00a0 trail, free movies, popcorn, tea, and lots of pillows.<br \/>\nBen &#8211; I had a blast watching Dirk in the NBA finals at a hotel ( that has a hoops court\u00a0 ) while wearing my Snuggie wrapped in a cool wool blanket!<br \/>\nSammy &#8211; I love the hoops court, the pretty geese, and watching Despicable Me!<br \/>\nWilleee &#8211; I love trying to cook popcorn in the VHS player ( yes, the hotel room has a VHS \/ DVD player combo), unloading the cooking utensils and eating everything I find on the floor or in the trash.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-176\" title=\"homewood_suites_kansas_2011\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/homewood_suites_kansas_2011-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"homewood_suites_kansas_2011\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hog Wild! Pit BBQ is Wichita is really good!<br \/>\nThe ribs and pulled pork were unbelievable!<br \/>\nMom &#8211; catching up with old friends was the coolest ever.\u00a0 Rock on ( stick your tongue out and flash your gang signs \/ horns \/ whatever ) !!!!<\/p>\n<p>Kansas is a really pretty state &#8211; lots of hills, lakes, and trees!<\/p>\n<p>On to Dodge City and then to the edge of the earth!<br \/>\nWe are going to run through some corny fields along the way, so stay tuned.<\/p>\n<p>Happy trails!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7 Nation Army Couldn&#8217;t Hold Me Back\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Cool White Stripes Song Sammy &#8211; We are hanging at the most awesome-est HomeWood Suites ever!
