Well, it was a bit chilly for the first night here in the Black Hills.\u00a0 The temp dropped to about 45 degrees which was a bit cold in our tent.<\/p>\n

First thing after unfreezing ourselves was to trek to Mt. Rushmore.\u00a0 Ben says it was “just a big mountain with four faces on it.”\u00a0 We all thought it was a neat thing to see, but really like the mountains in their natural state just as well.<\/p>\n

We roasted weenies up on top of the black hills on the way back from Mt. Rushmore.\u00a0 The views and rocks were spectacular.\u00a0 What an awesome place.\u00a0 We stopped off right after the pig tail bridges on hwy 87.\u00a0 You can’t miss it.\u00a0 The crew also found the most amazing natural rock playground.\u00a0 They found slides, platforms, and lots of rocks to climb.<\/p>\n

Next, we took the 18 mile wildlife loop.\u00a0 We saw more Buffalo, Prong-horns, Deer, Turkeys, and Burros.\u00a0 The burros like to eat corn and stick their heads all the way up your grill – literally, they will run head first to your car and run their heads all of the way in the car with teeth out looking for food.\u00a0 Sam says “it was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen in my entire life other than snakes and bears.”<\/p>\n
