{"id":63,"date":"2009-07-18T23:02:39","date_gmt":"2009-07-19T04:02:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/?p=63"},"modified":"2009-07-18T23:02:39","modified_gmt":"2009-07-19T04:02:39","slug":"12th-stop-yosemite-national-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/12th-stop-yosemite-national-park\/","title":{"rendered":"12th stop &#8211; Yosemite National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, we pulled out of Sequoia National Park and headed north to Yosemite.<br \/>\nIt was hard to say goodbye to the Giant trees, but we had to move on.<\/p>\n<p>As we entered the park, we found a grove of Giant trees in Yosemite.<br \/>\nWe also learned at 4pm that it took roughly 4 hours to drive across the park.<br \/>\nOur camp site was on the other side so we hit the gas.<br \/>\nThe drive across the park was incredible, but it was slow.<br \/>\nWe saw waterfalls, whitewater, giant granite walls, cliffs, domes, and snow on the mountain tops.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-64\" title=\"blog_snow_yos\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/blog_snow_yos-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"blog_snow_yos\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-65\" title=\"blog_granite1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roadtrippingforkids.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/blog_granite1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"blog_granite1\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once we made all the way across, we found our campsite which was supposed to be just on the edge of the park.<br \/>\nIt was actually about 40 miles south of the park and it was a goat ranch.<br \/>\nWith a name like Convict Lake, what should we have expected.<br \/>\nWe decided to find other lodging due to the lackluster campground and the effervescence of goat in our car.<\/p>\n<p>We found a wonderful place in June Lake called the Boulder Lodge.\u00a0 It was on a lake, has soft beds, and hot showers.<br \/>\nAlso, there are no goats!<\/p>\n<p>Today, we went back to Yosemite and spent the day playing in Teyana lake.\u00a0 The water was about 50 degrees, but the boys loved it and hot tons of fun.<\/p>\n<p>Sam &#8211; I loved the lake, but it was ice cold.\u00a0 Why does everyone keep calling me little pawpaw!<br \/>\nBen &#8211; I was kicking sand on these little kids that were being mean to me.\u00a0 I am a big bully according to my mama.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, we head back through Yosemite and will go hiking to the Redwoood grove near the middle of the park.<br \/>\nFrom there, we head to San Fransisco.<\/p>\n<p>Adios,<br \/>\nA-team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, we pulled out of Sequoia National Park and headed north to Yosemite.
